    BASIC DESIGN FOR INTERACTIVE MEDIA
undergraduate and postgradute course, 6 ECTS, 8 Course hours weekly

This course aims to teach the fundamentals of visual communication design in an interactive media environment employing applied methods and practice.
Students are expected to learn how to visualize a recognizable and recallable message in a clear, meaningful manner with clever remarks.


The syllabus is 14-week and based on workshop activities. Weekly activity starts with the description of the task, followed by individual practice and critics. A collective overall evaluation takes place at the end of each course.


Students practice on 5 basic design problem referring to interactive media situations: (1) Visualizing a catchword, (2) visualizing actions referring to interface design, (3) making a visual design by creating clever remark between object and concept which do not have direct connections, (4) to create interest on a point using non-textual visual metaphors, (5) visualizing the relation between linear and non-linear structures.

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN FOR INTERACTIVE MEDIA
undergraduate course,

This course aims to teach developing creative ideas for interaction design in an advance level.

The course content is based on two design projects: (1) Re-reading of designs developed by ancient cultures for interpretation in interactive design. (2) Design analysis within evolving technologies.


14-week syllabus is based on workshop activities. Weekly activities start with the description of the task, followed by individual practice and critique. A collective overall evaluation takes place at the end of each course. Students prepare video-sketches for each project. see details

BREAKING RULES IN INTERACTIVE MEDIA DESIGN

undergraduate course, 6 ECTS, 8 Course hours weekly

In this advance design practise class, the students study how to break the rules in Interaction Design of which is learnt in the second year-course called "Basic in Interaction Design". We especially give some certain design obstacles to the students to find a new way in their creative look not ignoring basic usability principles. Meanwhile we give diffrent obstacles each year to monitor students efforts in the design education. see details
